About Laureen Forgione-Rubino, M.D, F.A.C.S.

Laureen Forgione-Rubino M.D., F.A.C.S. is a general surgeon who has been in private practice since 1993. Many patients in Manchester, Connecticut, began working with Dr. Forgione-Rubino based on her expertise in robot-assisted surgery and single incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS), high-risk breast patient care, varicose vein treatments, skin lesion removal, and other surgical and cosmetic treatments.

At her practice, Dr. Forgione-Rubino works with local primary care physicians, OB/GYN specialists, plastic surgeons, and oncologists to create comprehensive treatment plans and seamless care for her patients. She is also on staff at Manchester Memorial Hospital, Rockville General Hospital, St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center, and Hartford Hospital.

Dr. Forgione-Rubino achieved her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine before completing residency programs at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut, as well as St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan, New York.

She has been the chief of surgery for the Eastern Connecticut Health Network since 2002. Dr. Forgione-Rubino has also been a member of the Hartford County Medical Association since 2002, serving in many leadership positions including the role of president.
